Before opening our restaurant, Taqueria El Pelayo built its reputation from our original food truck at Tennessee St & Sonoma Blvd. Today, both locations are proudly serving the same authentic recipes, fresh ingredients, and friendly service our customers know and love.

Taqueria El Pelayo is a family-owned taqueria on Springs Rd in Vallejo, California. Our owner has spent 22 years in the food industry, and this kitchen is the result of every one of them — recipes worked out over two decades, cooked the same way every day.
We got our start with our food truck, which is still on the road serving Vallejo. This is our second location, and the menu carries over everything people came to the truck for: asada, pollo, pastor, carnitas, lengua, chicharrón, camarón, birria, cabeza, and ribeye.
Everything is made with fresh ingredients and cooked to order. We put ourselves in our customers' shoes, we think about what we'd want if we were the ones ordering, and that's what goes out the window and across the counter. Come see us on Springs Rd.
